Where the trend came from
Tecktonik was the electro dance of Paris clubs in the late 2000s: quick, sharp arm moves to electro house. In February 2026 the Russian dancer Sasha Cheba, @cheba_man on TikTok, started posting the old moves to 2000s hits.
On May 24, 2026 he posted this stage reel to Benny Benassi’s 2003 track “Love Is Gonna Save Us”. It reached 17 million views by October, when AI versions of the stage dance spread on CapCut and Higgsfield and he took the dance on tour.
What it means
It is nostalgia with a straight face: the dance people did in 2008, done for real in 2026. That contrast is the joke, and it works for anyone.
The dance is all arms, so a standing, full-body photo matters more here than in most trends.

What goes wrong, and the fix
| If… | Do this |
|---|---|
| My arms look wrong | Use a full-body photo, standing, arms by your sides. A cropped photo leaves the moves to guesswork. |
| My face is hard to see | The dancer is small in the frame, so a sharp, well-lit face in your photo helps it carry over. |
| The render failed | Credits come back automatically. Try again with a clearer photo. |
