What the Cupid video looks like

This is the original. Your photo replaces its lead, so your video follows the same shots with your face. No two runs come out exactly the same.

On October 11, 2026, @emily.skye.official shared a video on Instagram of a woman batting a diving Cupid out of the air. Your photo takes the woman's place while the cathedral, Cupid, and sound stay the same. Watch the original post

Where it startedOriginal posted Oct 11, 2026

Where the trend came from

The concept began in late August 2026 as a simple black-and-white animation on TikTok. In that cartoon, a pedestrian swatted Cupid away without pausing, paired with captions telling him to aim elsewhere.

On September 2, 2026, an Argentine account shared a photorealistic video of the scene that gathered over 298,000 views. Creator @emily.skye.official posted the Gothic cathedral version on October 11, 2026, generating 496,546 likes and over 11,000 comments.

What it means

The video lets people joke about avoiding romance and staying unbothered. It replaces sweet Valentine imagery with dry physical comedy.

It appeals to anyone who prefers staying single over dealing with bad dates. The humor comes from how casually the woman dismisses Cupid without breaking stride.
