Where the trend came from
The big glossy eyes come from Mei Mei, a real snow leopard whose clips travel as a meme. A Mei Mei dance clip posted by @toletolefanpage on February 25, 2025 reached 495,400 views.
On October 29, 2026, @noperscan posted this meadow version on TikTok. It had 1.4M views and 387K likes by November 8, 2026, and other pages started making their own.
What it means
It is pure cute: a wild cat acting like a kitten that wants your attention.
Pet owners post it with their own cat or dog in the starring role, because the raised paw looks like their pet asking for food.
